29th September 2011, this day is marked as a historic one in my life; it's of great importance to me; my first placement of life, TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES.
After clearing the aptitude of 1 hr in 25 mins only, that too 9-10 am; i made it to the interview round and the time had really come for my results, night 10 Pm. Out of 102 students my name was in the last 10, alphabetical order.
Too excited and too much happy, enjoyed the very last moment of that day with my friends.
May 8th,2012; the very last exam of my engineering finished up, cleared every bit of criteria to be CSE graduate.
Now comes the hard part, really hard part, a path where most of us lose their patience, WAITING!!!
Most of us try to get a job that will even pay too less than TCS but still they join the other company just for the sake of an immediate joining. Infact they even get one and start working for them, believe me i've seen it.
Its not a matter of pride that why should i join that company if Tcs is paying way higher than them, but please let me tell you, Only if you have a patience to wait for a period of atleast 8-9 months after your graduation completes(applies for c And C* colleges), then only you should wait, if you cannot or if you have some financial problems or you want to work just after you finish your college then you can go for the other companies. But if not, if you can wait for that period then I'll suggest TCS is the best option you have got!!
Most of us think that whats there in that to wait for the joining, but be alarmed, there's not even a single moment in those 9 months period that you wont think about the joining. I've seen it, believed it and experienced it, still i've 2 more months of waiting to do.
Guys with monetarily strong background, its no problem, you can spend those times in some vaccation or with family but for the guys like me, u and us who come from middle class it becomes a question of life. We often start to think, without any fixed joining date, what i'll do, where i'll survuve and how?? coz for us there's only one way: earn and survive, thats what i think.
Anyway, you have got to choose your own way to figure out your life in these period, i've chosed mine.
This period of 9 months teaches you a lot of lesson, you are going to see the true colours of life if you choose the hard way like i did, earn and surive in your own way,i.e, i started to be independent not dependent on my parents. But thats the way i like it, you still have to choose your way.
Each and every morning in this period you start your day with a hope, that today my joining might come, you check your mail all day; but at the end of each day its only disappointment that you get. Each day start to seem as a burden to pass, you will start to get frustrated and in agitation you will do something that is not meant to happen, small mistkes of your life, even i've commited some.
But none-the-less, 30th November 2012, the mail showed up, it stated details of my joining in Kolkata ILP. I am so happy for the days onwards coz i know that whatever and however I ended up here its all my hard work and no one else so I feel proud, not guilty. So, guys do something that you can take proud in these periods. I am doing mine ,are you ??
